How to Shut Down Your Computer Using Dos Command Prompt.

As you know Microsoft Windows Provides several ways to shut down or restart your computer, one of which is via the Dos command prompt.
So how it works..

Open the Command Prompt in window 7 , XP 

Click the Start menu

Choose Run

Type cmd

Press Enter

Or Click Start menu

Search cmd

Press Enter

After that your command prompt will open and now you type the command,

To shut down your computer type:  shutdown /s

To restart your computer type:     shutdown /r
To log off your computer type:     shutdown /l
If you want to show the complete list of option the type the shutdown /?

For window 8 you just search in apps screen  cmd and press the enter and follow the  same process to shut down the system using command prompt.
